In this presentation, Colin Pischke will introduce the 3D printing projects he is involved in, including 3D printing prosthetics both locally and internationally, and the launch of Better the World 3D Challenge. The presentation will also include applications of 3D printing which can benefit people and the planet.
1) Explain how 3D Printing is being used in Calgary to change lives around the world.
2) Describe case studies of how we are 3D printing prosthetics for people in need around the world.
3) Discuss applications of 3D printing to benefit people and the planet.
The W21C Journal Club+ is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
About the Speaker:
Colin Pischke is the owner of Print Your Mind 3D, which was founded in early 2014 in Calgary where it still operates today. What started as a small local 3D printing service has grown into a company servicing all of Canada's 3D printing needs. Their core values are to build the 3D printing community, enable and encourage education, and explore the many ways we can use this incredible technology for good through humanitarian and environmental initiatives.
